Nightlife in Rome is quite scarce. Best area I found is the Trastevere area. Here you find street performers, pubs and bars which remain open quite late at night. Trastevere is a bit away from the Centro Storico (Old City) ;look for it on the map

I love Piazza Navona too;it is my favorite square in Rome. Thanks for pointing out the Pincio. As you described I'm one of the tourists who just stoped at Pza. del Poppolo and didn't go see the Pincio. |
