I want to FRENCH the Belfastians.... god-love-em!

by LolaSanFrancisco - last update: Jan 29, 2004

1st class IS TOO better then 2nd class.

Early morning departure from Dublin hotel was godawfull to say the least. The two hour train ride was not pre-paid so I stood in line while Palie looked after the safari amount of luggage we were schlepping around. We decided firmly that we could handle the two-hour train ride in 2nd class. However, after reaching the first car, Palie walked in and started putting her luggage away in the first class section, shrugging her shoulders and throwing her woolly mammoth coat over the able. Palie paid the upgrade out of her pocket change to the very nice train dude. She spilled out the rest of her change on the table and totaled it out at $100.00! Wine was immediately purchased drank and re-ordered over and over again. After several hands of Poker and nine trips to the toilet we were in Belfast.

I stumbled off the train onto the platform and looked around. I was told the train pulls up right in back of our hotel, The Hotel Europa. At this point in our trip, as you know, I find gorgeous men are falling from the sky there are so many in Ireland. So all I did was wait one second and passing me is Train Station Hottie number 1. I ask him where the hotel is and he say two train stops away however we should take a cab. Oh, never mind, I have to pee so bad at this point I decide to take the train.

As I stood trying to focus on graffiti that said: ?Wife Beaters? this war torn, 1960?s, windowless, train thing rattles up. Oh no, I?m too drunk for this I think. Just then Train Station Hottie number 2 takes out bags and begins to tell us what we need to do. Like two little lambs we listened. To inform the train conductor you need to get off the train, you simply lean out the window and wave upfront to him. And at this, we exploded into verbal assaults and fits of what-the-fuucks. I loved it, loved it, loved it.

After the 5 minute ride we arrived at the station where out hotel was. And from this view Belfast looked like hell. However, that was to change drastically.
