I moved to Istanbul as a naive 22 year old. But, it feels like in the short year that I lived there, that I was born...and died. I learned so much...good and bad. Nothing can prepare you, nothing can sum it up. Istanbul is as unique as the people who live there -- conglomarated from a variety of villages, towns, and other nations. Don't listen to those who will put fear in your heart about Istanbul. Enjoy it for what it is, learn from it, and use common sense! |
