Road to the Capitol This is a view from the Tower Bridge looking East towards the State Capitol. On the left of this photo would be Old Sacramento. Behind the photographer is the Sacramento River and beyond that West Sacramento. |
A View Along Capitol Mall The old white building on the right is the private club, "The Sutter Club" located at Capitol Mall and 9th Street. Governor Schwarzenegger has special occasion lunches there sometimes. The Club is only 1 block from the State Capitol. Good location for photos of Capitol Building. Also in this location is the State Library and State Treasurer's office. The very new office building in the background between the two white buildings is known to the local downtown workforce as the "Darth Vader Building"! |

The Capitol Building This is a view of the Capitol on Capitol Mall from East of the Sacramento River and Interstate 5. As you can see its December, see the Christmas Tree. |

JuneauKen Thu Jan 29, 2009 00:37 UTC This is really a shame, though certainly not new. I remember growing up in Rancho Cordova and going to K St. The place scared the heck out of me. Major homeless problem there and drunks and drugs were rampant. Sad for such a beautiful city. | hoofhearted Thu Jul 10, 2008 02:38 UTC Thanks for the insight, headed to Sacramento in a few weeks. Might just catch a RiverCats game! - Steve | keida84 Tue Jan 25, 2005 03:06 UTC Hello, We were just in Old Sacramento and I couldn't agree with you more!! We walked it was lovely. :-) Kathleen |
