An unusually mild day at the base camp

Getting to this base camp requires the traveller to go through several obstacles and layers. But if you are an adventurer, and are in good physical health, it may be the greatest travel experience you have. It was for me.

The Meili Snow Mountain base camp is at an elevation of between 5,000 and 6,000 meters. The base camp itself is not that special, it is just a flat pasture with about 4 small cabins. When I was there, about 3 shephards and a few yak were all that was occupying the camp.
