The Most Amazing Thing I've Seen What can I say? I grew up in NYC around fantastic buildings like the WTC, Empire State, Statue of Liberty, etc., but the Alhambra complex was easily the most impressive structure I've seen. Granted, I am comparing apples and oranges, but the Alhambra is something everyone should see and experience for themselves.
The very intricate design of the various halls and courtyards of the Alhambra are amazing. The gardens are extremely beautiful. I found the entire place extremely romantic. In fact, whenever I have friends that are planning a trip to Spain, I strongly recommend Granada (and the Alhambra) before Madrid and Sevilla.
Nothing tops off a fantastic day at the Alhambra than dinner in a small restaurant in the narrow streets of the Moorish quarter.
Don't let the modern area of the city scare you away. Stay near the Moorish quarter/Alhambra. I promise that you will remember this stop for the rest of your life. |
