Bolivia, South America

Bolivia is named for Simon Bolivar. Although I am not aware of Bolivar actually having physically set foot on Bolivian territory.

Bolivia is a landlocked country. It is bound by Chile, Peru and Brazil. Lake Titicaca is shared with Peru.

If you want a cheap vacation, then Bolivia is definately the place to go. Statistics show that Bolivia is South America's poorest country. The Boliviano is worth almost exactly one half of Peru's Sole.

Despite the poverty, Bolivia is a beautiful country. With rugged mountains and glaciers. And Lake Titicaca.

For a reasonable price, bus tickets can be bought from from Peru's Puno to La Paz, Bolivia's capital.

The Copacabana border crossing from Peru to Bolivia was a colourful experience. One that I enjoyed and will not forget.
