For me, the lookout from the chalet atop Mont Royal in the centre of downtown Montreal epitomizes the essence of this wonderful city.
Montreal has got panache, style, charm! She's beautiful! She's hip! She's dynamic! She's got that certain European flair! She's multi-lingua and multi-culturall! And best of all, she's open all night!!
Where else in Canada can you encounter downtown bumber-to-bumper traffic, crowds of people pouring into the streets and sidewalks 1:00AM in the morning on a balmy summer night?
Where else in Canada can you have a jazz festival right in the middle of downtown that lasts all night?
Where else in Canada can you get the best smoked meat and the best bagels in Canada 24 hrs/7 days a week?
There's just no other city in Canada like her!! |
