I Love London!

Queen's Gate Terrace

Kensington

During my time studying/working in London, I was fortunate enough to stay in Kensington. I still love this neighborhood, even though it might not have as much character as other neighborhoods. It's close to Hyde Park, and could never afford to live there if I wasn't staying in student housing!

Mixture of Old and New

Old of the things I love is the mixture of old and new. And the layers of history that can be found here. There are plenty of cities in Europe that the same can be said about, but it seems like you can't go but a couple of steps anywhere in central London without passing by something of significance.
I can't claim to be an expert by any means, I travel fairly frequently to London, but I would not consider myself "an insider." I feel fairly confident navigating central London, but am learning more and more myself as I go. The more time I spend, the more I discover.

Always Changing

So you've heard the quote, "When you're tired of London, you're tired of life." Sometimes I feel like I have to hurry and plan my next trip because I don't know what's been happening while I've been gone. There is always something going up or something coming down, while the old favorites are usually still there. So even though the city has so much history, there is an energy there that makes it very vital.
In all, it's hard to describe what I find so awesome about this city, but one thing is definite--I'm not the only one.
If you're planning a trip here, I hope you will not be disappointed!!!
