Only one restaurant there. Some food tips:
  • Tip Rating:

  • I haven't eaten at the restaurant since the relocation of most of the facilities that used to be at Giant Forest Village. The new area is at Wuksachi, about 4 miles north of the General Sherman Tree. Breakfast starts at 7am, and dinner requires reservations. (559) 565-4070. Food will be expensive. Supplies purchased within the park are also expensive. Lodgepole Village has a small market, snack bar and deli.

Buy what you can before you get there.

Along Hwy 198, here are some suggestions:

Closest to the park is Three Rivers. There are a couple of small markets and a pharmacy there.

If you need more than a few things, you can probably find them in Visalia. Heading west on Hwy 198 on the way to Sequoia, there is a good sized supermarket, a Wal-Mart, and a pharmacy on the right side of the highway. Exit at Ben Maddox.

Hwy 198 between Exeter and Three Rivers goes through mostly agricultural areas as it heads up to the Ash Mountain Entrance. Try buying some local seasonal fruit at one of the stands along the way. I really miss it!
