LANZAROTE : Island of CESAR MANRIQUE

by Marietje - last update: Dec 4, 2004

César Manrique
We went to Lanzarote for 10 days : 10 days on a beautiful, very special island : nature, although not green but with lots of lava, combined with the modern art of César Manrique.
César Manrique is everywhere on the island. Arriving at the airport, the first thing you see is this piece of art of Manrique! Very very nice!

Pros:"Special charming island ..."
Cons:"Very windy island - of course if this CAN be a problem?"

THis is very interesting - it's good or bad that almost on every street you can meet Manrique. I'm thinking about it on my Lanza travelogue... Hmmm... Anyway thnx for tips and picts :)

You are right, Manrique is everywhere and this is good. The Ladies toilet is awsome! I wonder how is the men's! Lanzarote is the island in the Canaries that I prefer. Thanks for sharing!

Claire, this is such an unique place...and you've done a good job presenting it. Love the women's toilet art..awesome. Strange landscapes. This is my first intro to Isla de Lanzarote. Thanks ever so much.
