You will never forget if you come here once

If you ever come to Saint-Petersburg and interested in Russian history of the past ages you should visit this place. Russians also call it Petergoff sometimes. It is very famous for its great complex of palaces with fountains. I have no much to say about this, I will just share my latest experience and some practical information with you. I’ve been in Petrodvorets before but about 15 years ago. The place was changed and now looks quite different. It was restored before the 300-years anniversary of Saint-Petersburg I think. There are several ways to get here from Saint-Petersburg – by local train, by fast sea vessel and by small comfortable bus. I took the last one. The bus starts from underground station and costs just less than 1 USD. For example the vessel costs about 15 USD. The road by bus will take you about 20-30 minutes and the bus comes very close to the main palace so you won’t miss the station. The complex of palaces occupies huge territory and if you want to see everything you’d better come in advance as the fountains are closed after 17-00. You should pay an entrance fee to the territory of the palace and tickets for different museums and attractions separately. The prices varies depending on if you are citizen of Russia or not and also on your age. I’m sure that there are many internet sites about the place so I will not describe it here, I just wanted to say that the place is perfect if you want to feel free, to walk by silent avenues, to look at the Finnish Gulf. The place is very relaxed and quiet. At the same time if you want actions there are lots of restaurants inside and near the complex, museums with interesting exhibitions, souvenir shops etc. You can meet here actors dressed as Russian tsar Petr and tsarina and even take photo of yourself with embracing with them (for money of course). For the most romantic there is a flying excursion by helicopter (right from the territory of the complex). It costs approximately 35 USD per a person. So don’t miss your opportunity to come and see the Russian historical attraction. That’s all. For more – look at pictures in the Travelodge.

I have much more pictures but... VT is VT. Look at Travelogue!
