Is it a capital of a state? This is the question which may come up when you just arrived to Oslo for the first time. That's because of the population of the town (just about 450 000 people). But I really like the style of Oslo - it is not as crowded as other European capitals, and that’s why very beautiful and rather clean. Oslo has also a very cozy location on the Oslo fjord. Surrounding mountains and sea make this town even smaller.

Saagar Wed Mar 2, 2005 15:34 UTC Hi, browsing your pages in prep 4 a Svalbard trip. Noted the warship in Oslo harbour - seems to be a British frigate, definitely not a Norw. ship. Try visit a Norw. navy vessel next time! You'll be more successful! I used to be a navy soldier... | danteque Thu Aug 5, 2004 20:16 UTC How rude. I didn't like your tips of Norway. | Narviking Thu Feb 26, 2004 14:49 UTC Nice page about Oslo. Greetings from the "Arctic" part of Norway ! | KristaB Fri Jan 16, 2004 11:26 UTC You are crazy. Sneaking into a military zone … I know - you are a spy! Oh, poor Jury, the cold war is over, you know … I hope you'll find a better job soon : ) |
