Shreveport

Shreeeeveport

Poolside in the port of Shreve. Me and Laura.
Enjoy fine swimming at a local pool club.Waiters will even bring you curly fries here at the Pierremont Tennis and Swimming Club!

Shreveport has become a second home to me. It where Pete, Steph, and the 2 chunky Monkies (Laura and Alex) live. I lived with them during my University vacations (3 yrs), from the time they lived in Colorado, to now, in Shreveport. I always spent 3 months or less at any one time, but I now have my room and bathroom there and, I like to think, full use of the kitchen. They took me to Ariziona, Las Vegas, New York, on a Caribbean Cruise and on my first and last skiing trip in Colorado. Ahhh, memories of my near death experience on the slopes in Vail. Damn the kid that nearly forced me onto the black slope. One day I'll get him.

My last trip was June 20th-27th 2004. Unfortunetly it was overcast much of the time, but we still managed a few trips to the pool. The kids are now 3 and 4 yrs old and still sweet monkies.
Enjoying chicken nuggets, a local delicacy.

Home is where the buffets are.

And there certainly area lot of buffets in Shreveport; Chinese, Italian, Casino (Hollywoods, Hurrahs, Louisiana Downs) and a new INDIAN buffet! Joy to my ears (see restaurants for a critique).

Shreveport also has, wait for it, a Super Target and a huge Michaels! Shopping at its finest here.
Alex in the rain.

Rain

Even in June it rains. So you may want to bring an umbrella.
