Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), Jaipur

The image of this building's facade is instantly associated with Jaipur. . .unfortunately there isn't much more to it. The Hawa Mahal is only as deep as a room or large hallway. . .it doesn't extend into a palace or complex, so the best part about it really is the view that you've seen already in so many photos.

This place, above any other in Jaipur, was overrun with tourists. . .it also has a very heavy traffic flow in front of it, which makes for a dangerous combination.

Unique Suggestions: The bazaar area of Japiur and the Amber Fort both make this city a destination that shouldn't be missed. . .just don't set high expectations on the Hawa Mahal. If you won't be able to visit the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, I would check out that site in Jaipur as well. . .
