Fun Singapore

by ChuckG - last update: Aug 13, 2003

Singapore is small but has a lot to offer

The Merlion
I thought I'd go there for 2 days....stayed 10 ! Great museums, nightlife, and good shopping on Orchard Road ! Singapore is a great multicultural country that is small like a city. I found the country very safe, friendly and nest. It helped that I had my private guide (ChicaC) as she introduced me to the good restaurants, bars, parks and nightlife of course ! Thanks Caro !

Clean city

Yes Singapore is safe and clean...but I like it !

1) You're not supposed to dispose of your chewing gum anywhere (Result is that you will never see one stuck where it shouldn't be, but if you brought gum from abroad, have fun chewing and make big bubbles !!)

2) You're not supposed to forget to flush the toilet or pee all over the toilet (I have no problem with that, it's so disgusting to go in a public washroom where someone expect you to flush)

3) You're not supposed to buy pornography (But Internet is all over)

4) You're not supposed to smoke in public (Sounds like California to me)

5) You're not supposed to make graffiti or commit vandalism (Fine with me too, that little retard learned it the hard way few years back !)

6) You're not supposed to spit in public (But you can spit in a restroom...)

7) You're supposed to give a pedestrian the right of way (and not crush him to death like in most countries)

8) You're not supposed to jaywalk (this one is a small 20 SG$ fine so if you're not to tight in budget...)

For 10 days, you sure managed to see / do a lot in Singapore! If only all tourists are as adventurous as you! Btw, you were born on 1914 - that'd make you, like 91 years old?!?!
