Philadelphia

by kazander - last update: Apr 11, 2005

Just got back from a little weekend visit to Philadelphia. It is so close, but I haven't spent much time here. I'm in the process of updating this page!
Dali at the Phila. Museum of Art

Dali eludes us...

We went for the sole purpose of seeing the Dali exhibit, but when we got there it was sold out! Very dissapointing! This exhibit is advertised ALL over town. On billboards, on buses, on flags decorating every lamppost...yet they only have available tickets on weekdays...sigh. We still had a very enjoyable time. The weather was perfect. We strolled all over town, saw the Liberty Bell and Independance Hall, had a lovely dinner at Rembrants, and went to the Mutter Museum, which houses medical oddities!

Amy, I appreciate all the helpful information, the personal descriptions, the positive enthusiasm, and the vivid photographs. This was a delightful read, indeed.

Excellent overview of the "City of Brotherly Love." In my trips there in years past I somehow missed the Mutter Museum. Now I've got a great reason to return.
