We did a quick whirlwind tour of the western section of Saguaro National park. As soon as we got off the plane we drove a couple hours south and here we were! Now the Tuscon area gets about 300 days of sunlight a year. Wouldn't it just figure the one day we are visiting that it's cloudy! We managed to tour a bit of the park and get in a few teeny tiny hikes. We were exhausted by the time we tumbled back into the car to return to our hotel in Mesa, but it was definitely worth it! |
| | Saguro National Park is actually split into 2 sections. The western and eastern sections. One on either side of Tuscon. Unfortunately, we didn't make it over to the eastern side, AKA the Rincon mountain side, but we did enjoy our little trip to the part we did see. |
