Driving back to Scottsdale from Glendale, the rain started to clear up and the sun came out creating the most vibrant rainbow in a perfect setting.

Arizona was someplace I had always wanted to visit and I was not disappointed. It is an amazing state with great diversity. I have been four times, but I hope to visit many more times to continue exploring.

Last year we did a quick trip out to the Phoenix/Mesa area. We were able to squeeze in a few roadtrips.
More recently, we added a couple of northern Arizona destinations to our travels. Page, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Monument Valley! Updates in the works!
On my first Arizona trip we stayed in a gated community rental house in the northern part of Scottsdale. This was our home base while we explored as much as we could in a week. One of the most fascinating things I found as we traveled from place to place was the change in the landscape. We started in the desert and ended in the snowy mountains by the Grand Canyon.

Check out my Arizona tips by city as well!

I did tell you about the time I was drunk, threw up while naked, backed my hiney up into the cacti on the sill from the forceful kickback, didn't I? This page is great.
