Theme: Sports Watching
The Halifax metro center is a sports arena in the heart of downtown Halifax at the foot of Citadel Hill. There is a junior A hockey team that makes it's home there, the popular Halifax Mooseheads. In addition, Halifax has hosted world class skating, curling and national college basketball championships here as well every March. Halifax has hosted the world junior hockey championships for both men and women in the past.
This is also the venue for most major concerts (rock, country) as well as some traveling theatre shows. I've seen Cats, Grease, Ain't Misbehavin here and they have had a few others.
Online ticketing available as well as stadium layouts for concerts. Uses Ticket Atlantic now so there is always a fee added to the ticket price, even when you buy it at the box office, which is a bit of a rip off if you ask me but there' s no way around it now.
