It's not a real warning 'cause Rome is a really safe city. In 28 years i've never been in real trouble. In Rome we have many gipsy, they walk around with their children asking for money. Don't stop. Don't give money, just ignore them. They ask for more or, in the worst case, they snatch your beautiful new camera or your wallet as fast as u can't understand what's happened.
