Beware of overly friendly Willy & Co. coaxing you to their "hostel" on the hill. These Aussies are illegal money-grubbers living off backpackers' tired goodwill. Oh, and their Pub is nothing to brag about either.

At Least Do This: Tell all your friends about it, especially in front of Amalfi Carbinieri. After all, Willy wants business, does he not?
Alternative: There are plenty of picturesque (free) beaches and cheap accommodations in Amalfi. Don't pay $7.50 to hike 300 stairs and sleep in the dirt after a midnight curfew!

nskin75 Mon May 17, 2004 02:24 UTC The view from Willy's is amazing. It is over 1,000 feet above the mediterrean with beautiful views. It takes 30 minutes to walk to Amalfi and the beach. It cost 7 Euros for a tent and 15 for a dorm bed.
