As Aqaba is a duty free zone it is possible to get a great deal on electrical/electronic items such as music, cameras etc. The variety is huge and prices are low. Expect a 30% discount on UK prices for video cameras. Booze is even cheaper! A litre bottle of Smirnoff vodka is about £2.60 (3JD). One thing to note, there is none of the hassle you find in Egypt. You are free to either walk past shops, stop and browse without someone dragging you in on the pretence of drinking a cup of tea or translating a letter from a satisfied customer!
