I arrived at Heathrow Airport and proceeded to take the Tube to my hotel. Before getting on the Tube, I bought a ticket from a window, I figured it would be better to talk to a person so that I would get the ticket for the right station. Intead, the agent sold me two tickets, so I assumed i could use the second one on my return a week later - didn't work that way (The agent didn't purposefully rip me off, maybe she couldn't understand my American accent?)
At the time I assumed that I would be able to use the second ticket for my return trip to the airport a week later, but I found out that this wasn't the case.
Thus, remember that the tube tickets are only valid for the day they are printed on. And make sure one of the Tube agents doesn't rip you off by selling you two. Its best to know how much your trip will cost before hand so that you have an idea of whats going on. From Heathrow to central london is about 3.60

At Least Do This: Just remember that paper Tube tickets are valid for that day only
