We got this hotel for a pretty good rate in relation to other hotels. It's location is really good, only a minute or two from the Blue Mosque and Divan Yolu Cadessi in Sultanahmet. It isn't really fancy, and is a small hotel, but I found it to be adequate. The first thing that you will notice is that the elevator (lift) is extremely small, it can only handle about 2 people, but the porter will take your bags up to your room by stairs. The rooms have some odd configurations, we got a bedroom and a sitting room. In addition, the shower was in one room and the toilet (WC) was in another one. Although it was quirky, I didn't mind. The water does have sulfur though, so you shouldn't drink it. There were no real complaints with the hotel, the decor is a bit old, but the service they provide is good, it has a good breakfast, and the location cannot be beat. All this for a pretty low rate, and I think that most people will find Pamphylia good for Istanbul, especially since you should spend most of your time there exploring the city, rather than sitting in a hotel room.
Unique Qualities: Very simple, no minibar, pool, etc. The TV is small and has mostly Turkish channels.
