This St. Petersburg page is going to have a very narrow focus. There are certainly VT pages that can help you all learn more about St. Peterburg's beaches, harbor, city life and museums. My focus on this little page is BASEBALL, and the notion of spending two or three days in St. Pete (love the sound of that) watching the Tampa Bay Rays.

Yes, the team is called "Tampa Bay", but they actually play their home games in St. Petersburg, at Tropicana Field. Part of the 2010 Summer Concert series.... June 26th Saturday night, on stage after the game, it's the BARENAKED LADIES. Great fun, great band, excellent time.

• Pros:St. Pete is an easy "downtown" to negotiate, and of course - a huge plus is going to Rays games.
• Cons:If you choose to be outside a lot in the summer, it is hotter than blue Hades.
