The Musk Ox Farm

One of the mosts-sought attractions in the area of Palmer, Alaska, is the Musk-Ox farm. This place offers a chance to learn about and get up close and personal with these virtually prehistoric animals.

And, you'll learn what Qvuit is..... It's the soft hair underneath the coarser outer hair on a musk ox. It is harvested and spun into extremely light and warm sweaters and the like.

I went by the Musk Ox Farm, but there was so much smoke in the air from forest fires I didn't take the tour.

There are a few musk oxes living in the Swedish mountains, close to Norway, but I have never seen one.
