Vaduz, a tiny and quiet capital city

Main street in Vaduz, Prince's castle above
Vaduz is the capital city of the Furstendam Liechtenstein, aka the Principality of Liechtenstein. This little city and country are about as "fairy tale" as it gets. Kind and good people living in the valleys and in the foothills, with the castle of the Prince himself overlooking the city.

A lot of people just make a quick stop in Liechtenstein to get passport and postage stamps. But, it's worth a day or two to just enjoy the quiet magic. You may leave wanting to re-read your book of fairytales from childhood!

Pros:"It's nice to know that such fairytale principalities still exist"
Cons:"Fairytales are great bedtime stories. Not much of a party spot."
In A Nutshell:"Most people give it a couple of hours. I'd suggest at least a day."

A very interesting journey. I also visited Liecthenstein some (20) twenty years ago and I still like to remeber it. Great Pete!

Great introduction and a lovely explanation about the hotel and the former owner. Sounds as though Liechtenstein is worth a visit.
