Airways / Airports: Try Tan's Tours for airport transfers

Getting TO/AROUND: Sure, getting to Sydney is the hard part. You're going to have to fly thousands of miles from your homeland, crossing hours and days of time zones. But, getting to the Kingsford-Smith airport doesn't completely close the deal....you still have to get to your hotel or pension.

Our hotel (The Victoria Court) "strongly recommended" that we either take a taxi, or that we use the Kingsford-Smith Airport shuttle. Well, we went looking for a taxi, and on the way, we met "Tan". Tan is a likeable fellow who is running his own small tour and shuttle business. He was so friendly and nice that we decided to give HIM our business. He carried all our bags with a huge smile, and then comfortably whisked us to our hotel.

On our return trip, we again made booking with Tan. He showed up 10 minutes EARLY to pick us up and carried every bag we had FROM our hotel room to his tour bus. All in all, Tan was great.

So, WE strongly recommend that you make booking with this dependable, friendly and hard-working fellow. He'll take very good care of you.

Cost is A$9 per person, no tip expected. (I gave him one, though...those bags are heavy) If you book your return trip when you arrive, it'll just be A$14 per person roundtrip. We were idiots and failed to do this.....but Tan still gave me the discount because I kept his card and recommended him to other guests at our hotel. ; )

Fantastic page. good photos great info and description and more then just an overview. Good insights into the culture and life style. Only problem is it's 10,500 miles for me to get there, but hopefully in the next year or two.
