The Lebzelter is located at a site that has been a hotel or inn since the 15th century. It has, of course, been redone several times. But basically, if you're looking for clean and comfortable accomodation in a little Tirolean alpine town, right in the HEART of town, the Lebzelter is the place.

And, the "cavern bar" below the hotel can really get rowdy (good rowdy) during ski season....especially if a bunch of Norwegian teenagers show up.

Unique Qualities: Clean, simple rooms and very much representative of Austrian hospitality, or as they'd say....."gemutlichkeit".

Directions: Right in the center of the pedestrian area of town. It's about a block away from the main post office.

We didn't stay here, but did visit a couple of times for events. Typical 4 or 5 star larger European resort hotel...excellent service, lots of features and yes... pricey.

If you don't like the small inns that Bonnie and I prefer, the Grand is an excellent choice, both for location and features.
