Saint Lucia, A beautiful island.

Sunset on Reduit Beach

Sunset
We have been to Saint Lucia two times.
Both have been remarkable trips. Saint Lucia has many things to offer. It has been a while since our last trip there , so some Things may have changed.
We have stayed at the Rex Saint Lucian both times. It is a vey nice moderate hotel. It has the best beach on the island with out a doubt. Situated in Rodney bay,
it has calm waters and a great view.
It now has two seperate hotels, one being all inclusive and the other being standard.
We would much rather eat at some of the resturants across the street. There are many of them and they all serve great food.
They even had a local lady cooking outside the hotel,Chicken, vegitables, salad and more for
only five dollars, when we were there..
One of our favorites was Capones right across
the street.
lunch at the capitans house

Boat trip to soufriere & Pitons

One one of our side trips we had lucnh at the captins house, not a bad view.
we had a wonderful local lucnh and then went snorkeling. On the same trip we also so the Volcano, watched children dive , and sailed along the coast for hours.
Not a bad day, for only $45 each. ( in 1997 )

The pitons

This was part of the day trip we took.
sailing down the coast. We sailed down the coast for about 2 hours, coming to shore near the Pitons.

We than had a full day , seeing the volcano, many sites, gardens and the Saint Lucia culture..

To finish out we came back down and went snorkling....

It was a great day....
