Following Hertha BSC in the UEFA Cup | Ribeira / Dom Luis Bridge |
On February 27, 2003 my club Hertha BSC had to play Boavista FC in the return leg of the round of the last sixteen in the UEFA Cup. Since I had never been to Portugal before, I had one good reason more to follow the team.
Porto seems to be a very lovely city, although it was raining quite heavily all day long when I was there. We arrived at noon and flew back to Berlin very, very early the next morning. But due to some great tips I had found here on VirtualTourist.com (thanks, Dimitris!) just the night before this short trip, I was able to make the most of the few hours I had there for some plain sightseeing - before heading for the Stadium do Bessa in the evening ...
