Every year at the end of August there's a big dance festival called Mysteryland. It's actually more than only dance, it's also theater and lots of other entertainment. Even if you're not so much into dance music it's still a great event to visit.

The day starts at 11 in the morning, and the festival ends at 11 in the evening. Big advantage: you're not wrecked, because it finishes at a decent time.

Another big plus is the location. First of all it looks beautiful, and second of all it's easy to access by both public transport and by car. You either take a train to Hoofddorp Station and from there a bus, or you take a train to Haarlem Station and after that a bus.
