Bushwalking at it's best
If you're into bushwalking there's one spot in Australia that you can not miss out on: Wilson's Promontory National Park, south east of Melbourne.
You can't just go there for a hike, you need to get yourself a licence. If you've got your own camping gear you can go out on your own, but if you want to do a trip where you don't have to worry about a tent and other camping gear it's best to book an organized tour.
A great company that takes care of the tents, meals and cooking gear is Bunyip Bushwalking Tours. They offer 1, 2, 3 and 4 day tours. To experience all the beauty of this area it's best to take the 3 or 4 day hike. The three day tour is a 36 km hike, spread out overe the three days.
You get to see the most amazing rainforest and if the weather is good you might even be able to go for a swim in the beautiful blue ocean and chill out on one of the the amazing beaches. The best thing about the whole trip is that you won't run into heaps of people, cause there's a maximum amount of permits being distributed each day.
A good time to go to this area is at the start of February, which is just after the holiday season. It won't be very busy and there's still a good chance of nice weather.
