"Words don´t do it justice." Foz do Iguaçu by Chris_T

Words don´t and, to be honest, neither do photos (I´ve only included these cos they make the page look nice...:-)

This is the worlds largest natural waterfall (for Niagara fans, forget it, it doesn´t even come close) - made up of, as I recall, 147 seperate falls.

I can tell you all you like about how big it is but, until you see it, you won´t have a clue.

Bridges between Brazil and Argentina and both sides have thier good and bad points.

Depending on which side you stay, you´ll likely do the falls in a particular order but don´t worry. Each side is a unique experience and I can´t see that it´ll make any difference which way round you do it.

The Brazil side has, in my view, the best overall views and offers unparalleled access to the actual river and the bottom of the falls (see my view on the Argentine side) - in Brazil though, we saw loads of these little guys (coaties) hanging around by the kiosk where the track starts.

The boat trip is apparently better from the Brazil side but slightly more expensive but I think anyone who goes to Iguacu would be mad to not see it from both sides.

Other things to look out for if you visit this area are the Itapu Dam (which is immense) and also ask to be taken to the point where the three frontiers (Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay) join - you can look into three countries all at the same time (pointless but still pretty amazing).
