After a (long) weekend trip to Denmark we were in Malmö for a 2-day conference - and managed to fit in a VT-meeting on 16 May 2006. Later we heard it was the first official one in Malmö! Thanks a lot Charlotta (Sjalen) for your suggestions and (co-)organising!
Due to another invitation for our conference that same evening we couldn't stay that long, regretfully! But we had a great time with a few drinks, meeting Charlotta with husband Keith and daughter Alice, the Copenhagen gang Claus (Cachaseiro) and Rasmus (Razmatac),and Jon (Jonkb) who also lives in Malmö but is originally from Norway.
Malmö is close enough to Copenhagen for a convenient short trip - the Öresund Bridge offers a fast connection both by car and by train (45 minutes).
The upper deck of the bridge is for cars, the lower one for trains.

Good and fast connection - we had no waiting lines, but maybe in high season and rush hours there can be some short... more travel advice

Pete, fabulous little page ...I see you met many VT members I met in the Copenhagen/Malmo area as well ...it looks like you were as fascinated by the bridge as I was ... Well done ... :o)
