Airport <=> Mid-City: Narita Express

    Getting TO/AROUND: A fast and comfortable way to and from the airport. It takes about 1.5 hr from the airport to Shinjuku. I think Its better than taking the bus as traffic jams in Tokyo can be very serious.

    I checked the train schedule and price before going and it gives me better planning of th time. And remember to buy the return tickets 1 or 2 days before your return date.

    Another thing: check if you should check in at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, cuz its 2 different stations!

    Getting TO/AROUND: With the combination of JR and other subway system, you can actually travel around Tokyo without taking other type of transportation. Yamanote (Loop) line should be the most used JR line for tourist as its simple and doesn't have several types of trains like other JR lines.

    To NOTE: Most JR lines have 3 types of trains: 1) normal, 2) express and 3) rapid. Where "normal trains stop at every sations, express trains stop in fewer stations and rapid trains stop at ever fewer stations. So its important to know if you are getting the right type of train cuz not every train stops at every station~

    Tickets: Buy an IO card for the value of 1,000, 3,000 or 5,000 and you dont need to purchase ticket everytime you take the JR. And you get to keep the card after the value's used up~

    The Website: very useful! u might check how to get from one spot to another, where to get transited.. and also the price!

    Rail > Metro / Subway: Subways / Metro

    Category: Subway/Metro
    Getting TO/AROUND: Subway/metro is another commonly used transportation in Tokyo other than JR. There are quite a lot of subways in Tokyo: the Tokyo Metro, the Kotsu Metro, the Tokyu Line, the Keio Line, just to name a few. With so many different subway lines and JR lines, its very important for you to have a copy of the complete train line map on hand. So that you'll know where to get transitted.

    Those subways' online resources are quite useful too: checking of fares, how and how long to get from locations to locations, etc.

    Tokyo Metro: http://www.tokyometro.jp/
    Kotsu Metro: http://www.kotsu.metro.tokyo.jp
    Tokyu Lines: http://www.tokyu.co.jp/index_flash.html
    Keio Lines: http://www.keio.co.jp

    Tickets: Advise to purchase the Passnet card, for the the value of 1,000 , 3,000 or 5,000. You can take most of the subways / trains other than the JR with the Passnet Card. (If you see the passnet logo on the ticket machines, it means you can use the passnet card for that train line) It saved me time as I dont have to queue up every time I take the trains. Value can be added after used up, and you can keep the card after the trip~

     Please do not think this is a typical style to find girls or boys. Kabuki-cho is not a place for ordinary boys and girls go and date. It is one of the most dagerous places in Japan at night except particular groups of people.
