Khai Island is a picturesque island off the East Coast of Phuket. The Island is quite small, fringed with a pristine white sandy beach and is ideal for snorkelling. Actually snorkelling is not necessary cuz even if u just stand there, you can get to see the fishes clearly. Though not much species of fishes found, and the fishes are not really colorful, but u can get a banana and feed them. It was really fun cuz there would be like 50 fishes biting the banana you are holding.. i got biten at my finger.. maybe it looked kinda like banana too.. hehe If you want to see more fishes and coral reefs, you have to get to the nearby even smaller island for some serious snorkelling.

Khai Island is great for relaxing but as small as it is, i think half day would be more than enough, unless u like to sunbath.. it is a great place to sunbath! A lot of tour agent organize 1day / half day trip to Khai, what they offer is more or less the same, transportation, lunch, etc. But the real difference would be the service quality.

Phi Phi Island is located 60-minutes-speed-boat away from Phuket. it does really offer some of the most beautiful scenery in Asia! The problem is, the speed boat trip can get really bumpy in a rough sea. If you don’t want to be sea sick during the whole day in phi phi, remember to get take pills before hand, and stand all the way ( i think it's way better than sitting down).

Phi Phi actually consists of 2 islands, Phi Phi Don the larger one, and Phi Phi Ley the smaller one. The world famous Maya Bay, location of the film “The Beach” starring Leonardo Dicaprio, located in Phi Phi Ley, with white sandy beach, surrounded by gigantic limestone cliffs and coral reefs, is ideal for snorkeling. Because of the film, the local people even call the bay Leonardo Bay… -_- There is a little path from Maya Bay to the other side of Phi Phi Ley, where u’ll find this little beach, well, I am not sure if you can call that a beach, but if u climb out from this little hole of the limestone cliff, you’ll see some really great views. Just remember, it is a hot sandy path, and u don’t want to walk that path for 20 mins without your shoes on like I did…

Phi Phi Don is Phi Phi's main island, where a range of accommodation from budget bungalows to high-end resorts can be found. Tonsai is the area where boats arrive and departs, and was the only place I visited in Phi Phi Don. Some shops, restaurants and bungalows can also be found here. I heard that there is actually no road on the island, so if you want to get from the Tonsai area to other side of the island, you need to get a boat. I made a big mistake when booking trip to Phi Phi – I booked the trip to phi phi & khai in 1 day.. so that left me 1/2 day in phi phi which was really a rush.. I don’t even have to time tour around phi phi don. So make sure you book a whole day trip to phi phi if you go.

There are some neighboring islands close to Phi Phi worth visiting. Koh Yung Island and Koh Phai Nok Island both have some well preserved coral, great for snorkelling. Koh Pida Nai and Koh Pida Nok are great place for scuba diving with tremendous underwater scenery. As I said, I didn’t have time to travel around Phi Phi this time, so next time I go, I’ll definitely stay there for at least 2 days! Some kind of compensation for my stupid booking this time.. hehe

Phrompthep Cape is situated adjacent to Nai Han Beach and Rawai Beach, at the southernmost point of Phuket. It is the perfect place to view spectacular sunsets, and it can be really really crowded nearing the sunset time. We arrived there at 530 and it was already packed with people (the sunset time is 630). Tens of coaches jammed the carpark, I guess that’s why u need to arrive 1 hr early, maybe if u don’t, u can’t get there on time to see the sunset. Strayed dogs were everywhere! When I was holding my BBQ chicken wing eating ( which was really delicious), 3 dogs approached me waiting for me to throw them something to eat.. that really frightened me a little bit, cuz they looked REALLY hungry. But then I didn’t give them anything, I felt like the little chicken wing wouldn’t be enough for 3 big dogs and I don’t want to see some dog fights… so I ate that myself… hehee

It was a cloudy day when I went to Phromp Thep Cape, and the cloud got thicker nearer to the time of sunset. As u can see from the picture, the sun was actually fully covered by the clouds! But the viewers, including me, was very patient, and when it popped out again under the cloud, there was actually some cheers, and I was one of them letting them out. But the sun didn’t keep out for long, the later part of the sunsetting happened under the cloud, maybe the sun was a little bit shy that day… and then we started to hear thunder and saw lightening… There is a lighthouse at the top of the Cape with a visitors center. U should be able to get a 360 degree view over the southern half of the island, and may even be able to see Phang Nga province, of cuz, on a clear day.

Didn't go because I wanted to go, but as the tickets were included in the package.. so why not? It turned out to be better than I expected~ Phuket Fanta Sea is a.... theme park i guess.. it is actually the winner of several Thailand tourism awards in the past few years. U can do a lot of shopping inside.. i bought a lot of elephant stuffs.. really cute! ^_^ Some Thai boxing "SHOW" ( it's really a show cuz i think they actually had rehersal on every move), some game stalls.. and a biggest-buffet-restaurant in Asia.. it sure was big... but i guess when u eat, "BIG" is not your concern ... And then there is this "Fantasy of a Kingdom" Show.. starts at 9pm and lasts for about 1.5 hrs. It's not the best show i saw.. but its okay.. full of entertainment and traditional thai stuffs... and u get to see the elephants.. the sheeps.. the cows.. the chickens.. in the show.. unfortunately.. photo-taking is not allowed!! Bottom line is.. i won't pay for it.. but if its included in your package or somehow u got the ticket.. it's worth the transportation cost... (round trip about 200baht from patong)
