Fairfield Bay - Greer's Ferry Lake

Greer's Ferry Lake has something for everyone. The spot that you see here is an excellent spot for skipping rocks, fishing, or just enjoying the sunshine by the lake.

The spot pictured here is called the Cliffs. You can obtain directions from a staffmember at the Fairfield Bay resort.

Looking for good skipping rocks

It doesn't matter where we go, it seems the most enjoyable activity for my oldest son is skipping rocks.

Here you see him looking for the perfect stone to splash in the water.

Horseback Riding

There are few things that can compare with taking your children horseback riding the first time. The horses are general and the terrain in beautiful. We took our two sons, the youngest of which was only 16 months old. He rode with dad, but had a wonderful time.

This is a posed picture, no my son did not ride by himself. But still he enjoyed every moment.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Fairfield Bay is a wonderful place to leave the rush of the world behind.
  • Cons:Don't come here if you want to party. The relationship here is with nature and people that love it.
  • In a nutshell:Fairfield Bay is a place to rediscover the peace of small town living.
