This man sits on the area of Friendship Monument since 10 am till 2 pm as he told me. He feeds pigeons with special seeds (which he buys from money he has from tourists) and gives them water from bottles. Give him 2 grivnas and he will be glad to give you a chance to make a photo of you with pigeons sitting on your shoulders and hands. I was not so brave to do this :-) I worried about my cloths.

Not only Kiev’s center is full with churches. If you come to place where I live you will see nice church which was destroyed before. I remember how I climbed among stones of old church. But for recent days it was restored from little one to very solid and beautiful. Near the entrance there is a well from where you can drink cold water :-)

So take a tram #1 or buses ## 411, 433, 461, 23, 90 and go out on Zholudeva street. Then turn to the right and after walking for 5 minutes you will see the church.

My father is an engineer and he took a part in work group creating church’s crosses. He was one among the honorable guests on the ceremony of setting up crosses on the tops of church.

You can see in this building the great temple of Soviet time. Actually our President wants to move to more pretty building as House with monsters (budynok s hymeramy) so now last one is under construction.

It was built by Horodetskiy who was a hunter and he built many monster who look like some animals. There are many iideas about the nature of this building.

One of them was like Horodetskiy made a bet with his friend that he will build house in such dangerous place where it is right now (on the hill) and it will be uncommon. He used concret first time in Ukrainian history (maybe even in European history). Other idea was that his friend was the owner of factory of concret so this house was the ad for this factory.
Next story hat his daughter made suicide in this place and because of this he made this house with nightmares whiche daughter had.
You will see many of stories. I have heard real one on radio, but I am really sorry because I forgot it :-(((

This street is one of the longest streets in Kiev with Vasilkovskaya street (or ex-Krasnoarmeyskaya)

if you walk along Gorkogo street up from Saksaganskaya street to Lva Tolstogo square you will be able to enjoy nice island on the road with trees and grass.

Nikolay Yakovchenko (1900-1976) was comic actor. Near him sits his dachshund.

Yakovchenko played in Franko Theatre since 1928. He also had some comic roles in movies.

The monument was mounted near the Franko Theatre on 100 year anniversary of the actor.
