Welcome to Portlandia!

by Pinguino - last update: Oct 12, 2005

I've lived in Portland, Oregon and have experienced the good and the bad. It's a wonderful place with easy access to the Ocean, Mountains, Desert and Valley -- Portland has charming shops, cosy cafes and great atmosphere. Of course there are areas to avoid and ugly issues (such as the schools) and some of the worst drivers in the world. Scared of the rain? Leave your umbrella at home -- it's simply not Portland to use one! Suck it up and wear a hood if you must, but a true Oregonian never brings out the brolly. :-)

Great start, Heather. You're lucky to have lived in Portland, it's one of the coolest cities in the US. Thanks for dropping by.

Great tips. Very good start :-) I adore both chocolate and Italian food - the first one maybe a little bit dangerous though (XXL T-shirts needed then).
