"Around the Lake of Como" Como by Klod5

In April 2002 I came with a troop of youngsters, in a theater tour in the region of the lake of Como, in the north of Italy, in Lombardy. They played a piece of Daniel Pennac : "Kamo". It was about a cultural exchange between youngsters French and young Italian. The young Italian, that welcomed the troop, came later to Toulouse, where I made them discover the marvels of the city.

It is a very rich region, where the middle gross incomes by inhabitants are among the most elevated of Europe. It feels on the prices of all thing...
The region of the lake of Como, that I hardly had the opportunity to see under the sun, in about ten days is very beautiful. When the time is cleared, the view on the mountains is superb, and, in the evening, or early the morning, it is an iridescent color fairyland.
Of the lake there are many typical villages, of which each has a rich history all around.

Morbegno

Numerous jaunts in mountains are possible since each of these mountains. Finally, Switzerland is all near, to some kilometers only.
The southern part of the lake is a lot more tourist. It seems that there are a lot of tourists in summer, and it feels on the prices, already dear enough. The spring (of end April to beginning June) and the fall are of the magnificent seasons. It is probably a region where I would come back.
