"Le Mont des Oiseaux" Mondavezan by Klod5

Mondavezan signifie : Le Mont des Oiseaux (du latin Montis Avicenae). A l'époque romaine, lorsqu'ils ont construit la voie romaine dans la plaine de la Garonne, le coteau où est situé le village était couvert de forêts, emplis d'une multitude d'oiseaux.

Mondavezan means: The Mount of the Birds (of the Latin Montis Avicenae). At the Roman time, when they constructed the Roman way in the plain of the Garonne, the small hill where is situated the village was covered with forests, fill a multitude of birds.

Mondavezan est donc un village du Comminge, qui domine la vallée de la Garonne, au pied des Pyrénées. Dès le premier siècle, les romains avaient construit à cet endroit un opidum.

Mondavezan is therefore a village of the Comminge, that dominates the valley of the Garonne, to the foot of the Pyrenees. Since the first century, the Roman had constructed to this place an opidum.

Pour moi, Mondavezan, c'est essentiellement le village où je possède 4 ha de terre, et où était mon jardin : le Jardin du Mont des Oiseaux. C'était un jardin botanique privé, où je m'étais spécialisé dans la culture et la conservation des plantes alpines (plantes des montagnes du monde), et des légumes anciens.

For me, Mondavezan, it is essentially the village where I possess 4 ha of earth, and where was my garden : le Jardin du Mont des Oiseaux (Garden of the Mount of the Birds). It was a private botanical garden, where I had specialized in the culture and conservation of the alpine plant (plants of the mountains of the world) and of the old vegetables.
