Come to Toulouse

Come to discover a cordial city

I am born in Toulouse and I live of it again. After having lived in other places of the world, after having traveled, I don't find a more marvelous city than Toulouse.
Toulouse, it is a particular beauty, by hisits red brick architecture that makes the charm of the historic city, and that gave him hisits "Pink City" nickname. Toulouse, it is also the efficiency and the services proposed by a modern megapolis, it is also all the ambiance of an academic and Mediterranean city.

Come to Toulouse for the ambiance, the feast, gastronomy, history, the art, the song and the opera, the sun...
Let me guide you, and let's leave together to the discovery of the Pink City, of this city been born of a stream that takes its source in Spain, The Garonne. Of this Spanish origin, Toulouse keeps a temperament of city of the South : at a time talkative and secret, it will only deliver you its treasures if you go to their meeting, if you dare to push the doors, to raise the nose, to lower the head.

And now, follow my steps...

Secret Toulouse

I am going to tempt to show you the secret places of Toulouse.
The hidden courses, stairs, the galleries where the tourists don't always have access. We will dare, together to push the doors that, more and more often, remain closed by digicodes that defends the access inside. We won't hesitate to ask for the opening of the places, because the Toulousain, grouser to the first access, nice and boaster, will give itself a pleasure to make you discover his court, his staircase, his garden, and to tell you their history.
If you wish to tempt the adventure, made not it in hermit, because you won't arrive to this result.

Orient your visits, of Monday to Friday, on the streets of Toulouse, because the presence in the floors, or in the liberal profession course, allows the access these places, often enclosed on the week-end. Dedicate your Saturday and Sundays at the public or religious building visit, and of the museums, that are free the first Sunday of the month.

The most beautiful particular hotels

Toulouse overflows with particular, more beautiful hotels the some that the other, testimonies of its past wealth. Indeed, some considerable wealths achieved themselves thanks to the trade of the pastel and the madder, the plants tinctoriales of which one pulled the pastel bruise and the quick red color, to the the XVI th century.

In the historic center of Toulouse, the numerous particular hotels of the rich leading are in the district understood between the place of the Capitol, the Esquirol place and the Garonne. One also finds in this district the beautiful homes of the capitouls (that were as often merchants), man who sat to the intended of the township.
In the district more to the East, close to the former Castle Narbonnais, included between the Esquirol place and the alleys St.-Michel, these are rather men of law or parliamentarians (presidents of the Parliament who represented the authority of the king of France) that constructed their beautiful homes.
Finally, these are the jurists and the politicians who constructed beautiful houses close to the cathedral.

It's not just thieves, there is a widespread violence in Toulouse. Repports accumulate that show black minorities targeting white people. http://www.ladepeche.fr/article/2009/06/26/630179-On-s-est-fait-tabasser-sans-raison-dans-le-metro.html
