Vignobles autour de Villeneuve - Villeneuve-sur-Allier

Vignobles autour de Villeneuve

Un pays de vignobles

Favorite thing: The region of Villeneuve is at the heart many territories of Controlled Origin Appellations (AOC). Of excellent wines that you will taste with pleasure (and moderation), and that you will bring back at home to make age them in your cellar.

Fondest memory: After one very full worldly life under the consulate, the board of directors and empire, the beautiful Aglaé Adanson aged of thirty years and girl of the famous naturalistic Michel Adanson, retire in Balaine, in the property that bequeaths to him in 1812 the family's friend. Aglaé comes apart of the arid earths and guard to draw his park, the richest soils and the better situated, that she drains, dry, and protect winds. His passion for the botany and the plants the drives to undertake a whole set of experimentations. She tries to acclimatize the exotic plants, that by boats bring back the big botanists of the time. His patience, his grants of observation and his intuitions on the needs of the plants that she searches for to educate, are rewarded by successes of which today's visitor benefits, two centuries later. The park remained in the same family since its creation in 1804 (7th generation currently).
