Cozumel is a diver's paradise. Beautiful water, fantastic wall dives...every diver should make an effort to get to Cozumel.
I was lucky enough to get my certification in Cozumel. I had done my schoolwork in Atlanta, but did my open water dives in Cozumel.
We saw sharks, rays, octopus . . .and tons of baracuda. The waters are clear, beautiful.
There are definite currents in Cozumel...be prepared for that. On the Santa Rosa wall - which after diving I found out the locals call it "the flying wall - the current clipped 7 or 8 knots. The only thing we did was drift dives, of course, with current like that!
The night dives are great too. There is an old lobster you'll see that they don't know how old it is.
It's a great place. Dive there! |

| Pros: | "Unbelievable dives! Inexpensive food, hotels..." | | Cons: | "Definitely a dive spot - non divers may not have a great time if they don't at least snorkel..." | | In A Nutshell: | "Every diver should make it to Cozumel!" |
