Hi all,
Can't believe it is 2008. Time just keeps flying by. Am considering several trips for 2008 and 2009, have booked some things but also keeping my options open for "last minute" ideas and adventures.

We recently bought two timeshares with RCI. Very exciting to join the timeshare world. We have lots of options for great properties all over the globe, and can't wait to start exploring in the next decades.

Sending out wonderful New Year's wishes to all of you and hope that your travels in 2008 are wonderful, rewarding and memorable.

I like to visit other countries around the globe. I appreciate the difference in culture(s); language(s); world outlook(s); and perspectives that are different from those in the United States. I think it is very important for all people to travel outside of their usual space, to get a broader view and appreciation for all cultures in the world; to further understand the human condition; and to spread our humanity around the globe.

It is impossible for me to choose a favorite city. I look at every place I visit as a distinct experience, and try not to judge it against others I have visited. Every place on earth has its own characteristics, charms and drawbacks, and that is what makes traveling fun. I love London, Paris, Assisi, Venice, Mont. St. Michel, Sorrento . . . the list is endless.

If you haven't traveled outside the US, take the time to do so. And take your kids. Let them experience life outside of their rigid comfort zone.

Even with all the new travel restrictions, it still is worth it to me to travel the world. The only new inconvenience is the difficulty and impossibility of traveling "carry on" only, which is my preference. But having to check bags won't make me stay home!
