This picture is from Gl. Skagen, also called Højen. The name Gl. Skagen means Old Skagen. It is a nice little village, much smaller than Skagen. It is located 3-4 km from Skagen. Here you wont find many cafees, restaurants and bars, but here are some hotels and the beach is a nice place and it is big, so there is room for everybody.

The sign on the wall says: Postens hus, meaning the house of the postman.

This picture is from Grenen, the tip of Jylland (Jutland). Here the two oceans Skagerak and Kattegat meets. Skagerak is the ocean on the right side in the picture, Kattegat is on the left side.

Everybody goes to stand with one foot in each ocean, and to see the wawes of the oceans meet.

This picture is from the harbour of Skagen. The red buildings in the background are fish-restaurants. There were very crowded at these tables, and the majority of people seemed to eat fried fish, which is not the kind of fish I think one should eat at a harbour and at a restaurant specialised in fish-dishes.

We bought some bread at a baker and then we bought some smoked fish from the fish-shop next to the restaurants, and sat down in the far end of the harbour and ate it. It was great, we got away from all the people and we got the see the fishing boats as the arrived home from a days work.
