While the locals consider it cold (I've seen them wearing gloves, coats, and Muckalucks when I'm in just a T-shirt) it's quite nice in the winter, high 60's to low 80's depending on how far you are from the ocean

They don't do much decorating until about 2 weeks before, if at all. Of course the malls and some tourist areas do earlier. But as a whole, many businesses and homes aren't decorated much, and late.
