I went to Cancun with a bunch of friends for my sophmore year spring break at BU. We had one of those typical crazy drunken spring breaks, but if I ever go again, I probably wouldn't go to so many of those expensive watered-down-drink-serving bars or clubs. I think we had more fun than the regular spring breakers in Cancun, though because we ventured outside of the straight line between our rooms, the hotel and the bars. The only times I did not enjoy were anytime we came in contact with studenttravel.com, our trip organizers. We quickly realized that their only purpose was to scam us out of pesos.
My most memorable moment (and only one of a few) was heading out to the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. Even though we had to get up early to ge there (horror of horrors!), and it was extremely hot out, we had fun. My favorite part was climbing up Kulkulkan (the main pyramid)...probably because that was the highest point in Mexico I reached.
Enjoy the page and check back often as I get more of my pictures scanned to go along with the tips. |

keeweechic Wed May 21, 2003 03:55 UTC A place I really want to visit and I'm not surprised you were impressed with chichen Itza. 'bonk' can have a different meaning 'downunder'.. :-) | Bwana_Brown Fri Apr 25, 2003 16:51 UTC Cancun can be an enjoyable spot! Chichen Itza definitely is worth a visit too! | jessicadf Fri Apr 25, 2003 16:23 UTC Why wouldja go on a snorkel tour from shore anyway? Maybe by boat, to a big, expansive reef that's only accessible by water. But... not at Cancun. Recommendation: Pay the day fee to use ClubMed's reef -- not too crowded and it's a great reef. |
